Testimonials

“We are so thankful to WillPower for helping our family through a very difficult financial time.

Our insurance company dropped coverage of our son’s speech therapy services, forcing us to pay out-of-pocket for several months. Fortunately WillPower provided funds to ease our financial burden, allowing our son to continue his therapy sessions. We will always be grateful for your help. Thank you!”

“It is very tough having a child with autism.

Economically it’s difficult as well. Many of their needs are not covered by insurance, or you have to travel far distances to get services. WillPower helped us by paying for some sensory therapy that will help my son with his delays and challenges. You are a blessing…. thank you for caring and making a difference in our lives!”

“We are so grateful to WillPower for providing funds to help our daughter learn to read.

Because of her numerous learning challenges, she needs additional support outside of school to become a successful reader. We used our grant to hire a specially trained private tutor, and she is now reading at grade level! We are thrilled at her progress and know that it would not have been possible without WillPower.”

The application process for the Will Power Grant was easy enough for a busy mom to complete while juggling her every day tasks.

It was really helpful to have my son's swim lessons covered, because we have been struggling to figure out how to meet all of the financial requirements for my son's various therapies. We wanted my son to be able to do something fun this summer, but it was also really important for him to learn how to swim. He is drawn to water, and we are nervous about his safety. We are just really grateful and happy that something like this exists. Thank you!”

“The WillPower grant is truly life changing.

Our son is 5 and he was born 9 weeks early

and since birth he has had low tone throughout most of his body. Swimming was recommended as a way to improve his tone and strength, so he started swimming at 3-years-old. He loved being in the water. A few years later he was diagnosed with Autism. His primary challenge is with social communication; however, when he's swimming he excels at communicating in a social setting.

The WillPower grant has allowed us to continue providing this experience for our son and he continues to be the happiest when he's in the water.

“We are truly grateful.

In October 2023, my daughter was disenrolled from school without my consent, and placed in a school where she could not be kept safe due to her diagnosis of PICA, Autism, PTSD, and ADHD.

I have been in a 8 week battle with the school district. Thankful, our family was connected to the WillPower Foundation by our former educational advocate. Our family is in need of legal support as well as a new educational advocate. We have looked and continue looking into legal support and it seems like we may eventually have to come out of pocket.

This may not seem like much to some but it is a Godsend to our family, as I have been out of work 8 weeks caring for my daughter since she’s been out of school.
